I am now back home in Montreal with my family. The winter in Arizona was amazing.

Having two different places to live is wonderful, and yet the transition from one place to another can also bring up feelings of loss.

I love Montreal and I appreciate living here in the spring, summer and especially the fall.

And I also miss Arizona when I am here. I miss my family. I miss my friends. I miss the sunny sky almost every day. I miss seeing the stars every night.

And when we are in Arizona there are things that we miss about Montreal.

We miss our neighborhood and the amazing friends that we have. We miss Frederic’s side of the family, and seeing my little niece. I miss the water and all the great people we have in our lives.

So I have needed to get really good at, and accepting of, the transition of life from one place to another. And when you think about it, we are all transitioning all the time.

This moment is a transition from the last.

Each moment we are becoming something different.

And the key to this is being fully present with the moment and appreciating what is in front of you.

There is an awareness of the present moment. Being inside your physical body. Feeling your breath and grounding yourself in what is.

Then there is acceptance of what is and how you are interacting with what is. This includes people, circumstances and what is going on within yourself.

So whatever transition you find yourself in today, just remind yourself that life is a becoming. Life is always transitioning from one moment to the next. The suffering comes in when we are attaching to the last moment and what was, and the freedom comes when we are feeling the moment and moving forward into what is being birthed.

I need to remind myself when I am in transition that if I am feeling bad, it is because I am in lack; and missing something is always coming from not being appreciative of and present to what is. When I start to appreciate where I am, the good feelings come in and I am back in the field of abundance.

Enjoy your transition today. No matter how big or small.
