How to Attract Abundance (Including an Abundance of Money)

How to Attract Abundance (Including an Abundance of Money)

The first thing you need in order to attract abundance into your life is a clear understanding of what abundance really is.

Most people have collapsed the concept of abundance with the condition of having money.  But true abundance encompasses so much more than material possessions or luxuries.  Consider this dictionary definition:

“An overflowing fullness or ample sufficiency; profusion; copious supply; superfluity.”

Satisfaction, fulfillment, joy, ease, happiness, creativity, compassion, freedom, love, and wellbeing… Literally every feeling-state that any of us aspire to experience is an expression of abundance.  And the way to attract abundance in all her manifestations is to step into an abundant mindset.

There are fundamentally only two ways to approach life. One is with a consciousness of lack, through which we perceive everything as scarce and in limited supply.  And the other is through the lens of abundance, in which we acknowledge that there is an infinite supply of love, wellbeing, joy, and creative resources.

You cannot attract abundance into your life while at the same time you’re complaining about lack.  To bring in abundance in all forms, you must raise your vibration to the frequency where abundance resides.

Here are 3 energy mastery principles you can begin applying today to attract greater abundance into your life:

Abundance Principle #1:  To attract greater abundance, notice and appreciate every place you find evidence of flow.

Like everything else in the universe, abundance is an energy.  Specifically, it’s a fast-moving energy that flows fast and free – meaning there is very little resistance within its vibration.  In every person and environment, there are areas of flow and areas of restriction.  And the more we place our focus on the areas of flow, the more abundance we magnetize to ourselves.

Notice all the places – in your body, your mind, your environment, your life – where there already exists a feeling of flow.  In other words, energy is moving, life force is thriving, you have enough of what you need, and things are working well.

Maybe you’re someone who’s blessed with an abundance of physical stamina or mobility.  Or you might have access to an abundance of good ideas.  Is there an abundance of peace or wellbeing in the natural environments where you commonly walk, bike or drive?  Notice the presence of flow in these areas!!  And acknowledge that they are all manifestations of abundance.

Abundance Principle #3:  Prioritize your mindset over your circumstances.

Ordinary people allow their current reality to dictate their mindset.  A deliberate creator aligns with the mindset that is most conducive to the reality we wish to create.

This is perhaps the most important thing to understand about how thoughts become things:  Energy is primary, and all manifestations follow energy.  To attract greater abundance into your life, you must first cultivate an abundant mindset.  And oftentimes, this means focusing beyond what has already manifested.

It’s easy to feel abundant when money is rolling in, but how do you achieve this feeling state when the bills are piling up? In these moments, we have to look beyond the conditions that have already manifested and find the unconditional essence of our desire.  To do this, ask yourself why you desire abundance and focus on these essential feelings.

Abundance is not a condition.  It’s a mindset and a state of being.  By focusing on all that you do have and looking for the positives in any situation, you invite more good into your life.  Honing this skill is what makes us deliberate creators. We become visionaries who chart our own courses instead of travelers who simply follow the paths that have already been charted.  As author Tony Robbins notes, “You never get beyond scarcity, you have to start beyond it.”

Abundance Principle #3:  Be purposeful about your mood

The mood or energy we carry with us is an all-powerful communicator.  To increase the flow of abundance into your life, deliberately generate the energy of it.

Allow the energy – of vitality, of prosperity, of success – to inform the way you move; the way you speak, and the choices you make.  Remember that all tangible manifestations originate in the unseen world of energy.  Begin offering your energy on purpose, and notice the different ideas, experiences, and results that come about as a result.

Think about wearing the energy of abundance like you would wear a piece of clothing. You can even imagine taking off the clothes that represent scarcity and donning a brand-new, perfectly-tailored suit. You’re stepping into a new realm of possibility, a new bandwidth of frequency.

Attracting greater abundance is about realizing that you already are, and already have, more than enough.  In this moment, you are perfect, whole, and complete just as you are.   If you take a step back, you’ll quickly see that you have far more sufficiency than lack in your life.   You have plenty more to feel satisfied about than to be dissatisfied about.  You have far more reasons to feel good than to feel bad. Remind yourself of this daily by practicing these 3 principles, and watch the fulcrum of your experience shift into one of greater sufficiency.

How to Listen to Your Higher Self: Everything You Need to Know About Channeling

Whether you’re conscious of it or not, you are already intimately and inseparably connected with your higher self.  And, as an extension of the life-force energy that creates all things, you always have access to this universal intelligence and insight.  In those moments when you feel lost or confused, it’s only because you have temporarily cut yourself off from your divine source.  But the good news is, you always have the ability to reconnect.  Here are 3 energy mastery practices that will make it easier for you to listen to your higher self.

Energy Mastery Practice #1: Acknowledge that you already know how to listen to your higher self.

In every moment of every day, your higher self is in communication with you.  And to varying degrees, you are able to listen to your higher self and interpret its messages.  In other words, you’re already channeling your higher self, whether you realize this or not.

Every time you have an inner sense of which way to proceed or a gut feeling about someone, you’re channeling your higher self.  When you recognize in hindsight that you already knew how something would turn out, you were listening to your higher self. Even the impulse to drink water when you’re thirsty, sleep when you’re tired, or yawn when you need oxygen are forms of divine inspiration.

What some people call channeling is nothing more than deliberately tuning yourself to listen to your higher self.  And all that’s required is putting yourself into a state of receptivity.  Information from the higher realms is always coming through us, and when we’re energetically aligned, we recognize it.

Sometimes it comes as a download of wisdom or insight; a sense that something we’re contemplating is “on” or “off.”  We may recognize the presence of our higher self as doors opening, or unanticipated opportunities arising.  Listening to your higher self gives you full access to your genius. Athletes refer to this state as being “in the zone.”  You are channeling non-physical energy. Your instincts are sharp, and you easily find yourself at the right place at the right time.

What’s essential to realize is that every single one of us has the ability to do this.  And it’s not a matter of luck or happenstance.  It’s a matter of first acknowledging what it feels like to be fully connected with your higher self, and then fostering this connection on purpose.

Energy Mastery Practice #2: Allow yourself to receive guidance from your higher self in whatever way comes most naturally.

There is no right or wrong way to listen to your higher self.  And you don’t need to engage in hours of meditation or be sitting in lotus to receive its wisdom.  In fact, it’s highly likely that your higher self will communicate with you through one of your five senses.

If you’re dominantly a visual person, you might receive your higher self through images or visions.  You may “see” the energy of a certain person or situation and therefore know the most beneficial way to respond. If you’re more of an auditory person, listening to your higher self may take the form of hearing actual words.  People often refer to this as tuning into the “small, still voice within.”  You may receive this as a faint whisper urging you in a particular direction.

People who are primarily kinesthetic receive their higher self as a feeling in their bodies.  They get chills when they’re in alignment, or a shiver down their spine when they’re contemplating something that is less than beneficial.

The Quantum Council of Light

Earlier in my own life, I experienced my connection with my inner being as a silent presence that always seemed to be guiding me.  Now, its messages come through in distinct blocks of thought.  These insights are offered to me by a collection of non-physical ascended masters that call themselves the Quantum Council of Light.

The Quantum Council is a collective consciousness of ascended masters.  And their mission is to teach others how to create all they desire through understanding and applying spiritual laws. The Council has a very unique way of explaining these laws, and in a voice that is very different from my own.  If you’d like a direct experience of the Council, be sure to tune into this week’s Desire Factor Podcast.

Of course, you don’t need a channel to listen to your higher self.  You only need to identify your primary way of receiving this energy and align yourself with it.  And this brings us to the third and final energy mastery practice:

Energy Mastery Practice #3: Align yourself with the outcome you wish to create and be open to receive your higher self.

What you focus on, you draw into your life.

If you’re seeking a solution, but are focused on the problem, the solution can’t occur to you.  Likewise, if you wish to attract something, but are focused on its absence, you’re actually blocking it from manifesting in your experience.   You have to make yourself receptive to the outcome you wish to create.

And so, if you wish to magnetize greater ease, prosperity, love or laughter, then align your energy with the presence of those things.  Recognize that they are available to you right now; in whatever present circumstance you find yourself.

To listen to your higher self, create as much ease in your body and mind as possible.  Engage in things that calm you, and think thoughts that evoke happiness within you.  Allow yourself to feel fabulous for no good reason.  Give yourself permission to relax a little, to play, and to acknowledge the many blessings all around you.

Do everything you can think of that brings you a feeling of relief, of acceptance, of relaxation.  In this state, you are naturally receptive to your higher self and to guidance from the higher realms.   Channeling is simply being in the receiving mode of your higher self. And being at ease, being still, and being open and allowing opens the door for this communion.

How to Shift Your Vibration When You’re Not Feeling Excited About Life

What’s the difference between a day that you dread and a day that you can’t wait to arrive?  And what distinguishes a moment in time that fills you with excitement from one that feels dull and repetitive?  Well, like with everything else, it all comes down to the frequency of your personal energy field.  If you’re not feeling as excited about life as you used to, know that you have the power to shift your experience.

Here are 3 energy mastery practices that will purify your vibration and make you more receptive to excitement and joy.

Energy Mastery Practice #1:  Understand that the way you focus determines whether you feel excited or not excited about life.

Take a moment to recall one of those days when you felt on top of the world.  Ideas were firing, connections came easy, and you created results with little to no effort.

Now bring to mind a day when everything you attempted felt like an uphill battle.

The only difference between happiness and unhappiness – between a joyous life and one that lacks excitement – is your energy alignment.  When you’re aligned with the energy that creates worlds, things go well for you and you feel enlivened and inspired.

You’re eager for what’s next.  And as a result, you naturally and easily attract everything you need to support your greatest joy.

When you’re not feeling excited about life, it’s always for one reason: You are not aligned with the energy stream that creates and sustains all things. You’re running on empty, using only your human resources to get things done.  And, you’re focused on what’s missing and what’s wrong, rather than on what’s becoming and what’s possible.

Most of us have been conditioned to scan for problems; not to be available for solutions.  We’re taught to go it alone, not to wait for and act on Divine guidance.  We were raised to view other people and life in general as a scarce and scary place.  And when we’re viewing life through a perspective of lack, it’s impossible to feel excited about life.

By virtue of the way you focus, you can raise your vibration and increase your passion for life.  You can choose to focus on past highpoints, and seek out words and images that inspire you.   You can take time out of your day to be with nature and to fill your senses with her sights and sounds.   Most importantly, you can regularly commune with the life force that sustains you, in whatever form you envision that energy to be.  In the silent realm of energy is where we find renewal.  It’s the birthplace of all inspiration and ideas.  Anytime you’re not feeling excited about life, turn your attention to this invisible realm, allowing pure positive energy to infuse you.

Energy Mastery Practice #2:  To renew your life force and excitement about life, put some distance between you and low-vibration activities, relationships, and situations.

Anytime you’re engaged in an interaction that feels difficult or unpleasant, you have a choice about how you respond.  You can keep pushing through despite the misalignment and hope things will turn out.  Or you can back away from the situation and allow yourself some time to rebalance and recalibrate your energy.

We diminish our own vitality when we force our bodies into activities that our energy is not aligned with.  We “will” ourselves to carry out tasks and maintain relationships, even when our vibration is screaming for us to do otherwise.

If you’re not feeling as excited about life as you’d like to, reexamine the energies you’re surrounding yourself with.  Do the people you spend your time with boost your spirits, or do they bring you down?  Are your leisure activities recharging and rejuvenating, or are you simply numbing out?  When you give yourself permission to say no to what doesn’t inspire you, you make space in your life for the people and things that do

Energy Mastery Practice #3:  Flow your life force in the direction of that which brings you excitement and joy.

I encourage you to make a list of all the people, places and activities that inspire you; that raise your vibration and give you energy.  Then as you plan your schedule for the week, to make sure you allow time for at least one life-giving activity each day.

Feeling inspired and excited by life really comes down to tending to your energy field first.  Identify the things that feel good to you, and do them regularly.  Identify the emotional states that inspire you, then consciously reach for anything you can find that induces those feelings. Move your body, play music, sing out loud… Do anything you can to encourage your vibration to soar.   And if something feels heavy, misaligned or not quite right, give yourself permission to walk away or to think of something else.

Remember that you are an energy being first and foremost.

You’re an energy transmitter and receiver that is always communicating with the non-physical energy that sources you. Through the power of your focus and your daily choices, you can bring in any frequency of energy you desire.  If you’re feeling dull or uninspired, you can call in from the universe the energies of interest and inspiration.  And with practice, this higher frequency will weave itself into the fabric of your daily life.

How Increasing Your Emotional Intelligence Can Help You Feel Better Now

Emotional intelligence is a concept that gained popularity decades ago and is now experiencing a resurgence. As a collective consciousness, we are finally understanding the important correlation between emotion and vibration.

Many of us never learned the principles of strengthening our emotional intelligence.  In fact, lots of us were taught to ignore, suppress, or hide our feelings.  When we felt our feelings, we were often told things like, “Stop crying, or I’ll give you something to cry about.”  We disconnected from our emotions in order to please others.  And in so doing, we diminished our own emotional intelligence.

Here are 3 important components of emotional intelligence that can help you to raise your vibration and feel better now.

The first component of emotional intelligence is understanding that emotions are simply energy in motion, and allowing that energy to move.

Scientists and spiritualists agree on at least one thing – that everything in the material world is made of energy.  Everything is energy, and this is especially easy to understand when it comes to our emotions.   The reason some emotions feel wonderful and some feel awful has only to do with how fast the energy is moving.

At the high-flying, good-feeling end of the spectrum, we experience emotions like possibility, certainty, enthusiasm, empowerment, and ease. And at the low end of that continuum are negative emotions like sadness, fear, discouragement, or frustration.   Granting our full range of emotions the right to exist is the first step to building emotional intelligence.  And, since most of us were taught to suppress our emotions, accepting them requires a bit of un-learning.

Rather than resisting bad-feeling – or so-called “negative” – emotions when they arise, simply allow them to be.

Emotions are energy, and energy must be allowed to flow.  If you try to repress or numb a painful emotion, its energy doesn’t just go away. Instead, it can manifest as excessive weight, as a headache, a skin eruption, anxiety, or chronic low energy.   It’s much wiser to simply allow your emotions to move through you, in real-time, at the moment they arise.

Developing emotional intelligence doesn’t need to be an arduous process.  The next time you notice an emotion welling within you, take a moment to sit with it.   Close your eyes, deepen your breath, and become sensitive to the sensation.   Lean into the feeling rather than recoil from it.

Feel the whoosh of energy that courses through you when you feel angry or afraid.  And simply be with this energy without getting caught up in the mental dialog of what provoked the feeling or whose fault it is.  You don’t need to attach a story to it, or use anyone else’s behavior to justify the way you’re feeling.  Just be with the emotion as an energy.  Do your best to welcome it.  Every emotion brings with it a powerful message that will benefit you, if you’re open to receiving it.

The second component of emotional intelligence is understanding your emotions as guides.

You now understand that different emotional states correspond with varying frequencies of vibration. When your emotional state is high, this means your vibration is also high.  And in this high-flying, resistance-free state, you are receptive and magnetic to the experiences you desire most.  In other words, your emotions are guides that in every moment let you know the vibration you’re offering.  Emotional intelligence is realizing when you’ve disconnected from yourself, and also knowing what to do to reconnect.

So, the next time you feel that whoosh of energy we call anger, allow it, then seek its underlying message.

Anger often arises to let us know we’ve allowed someone else to cross an important boundary. Or, it may surface as a signal that we’re overextending ourselves and neglecting our own self-care.

In every case, our emotional intelligence is always available to guide us back into balance. We simply need to be willing to receive and act on the messages it provides.

The third element of emotional intelligence is being sensitive to the early, subtle fluctuations in energy.

You do not need to wait until you’re enraged with anger or paralyzed by anxiety to utilize your emotional intelligence. In fact, once the momentum of these emotions is moving at that rate, it’s much harder to interpret their messages.

With practice, you can become sensitive to the most subtle shifts in your energy field.  You can actually learn to adjust your vibration before your emotions get out of hand.

Emotional intelligence is about understanding that your vibration always follows your focus. If you’re focused on hardships, betrayals, past disappointments or troubling news, your vibration (and your emotions) will let you know.  And just as easily, you can redirect your focus to things that stabilize and uplift your vibration.

With this self-awareness, you’ll begin to notice the exact moment your emotions begin to dip into that not-feeling-good place.  Your clarity will waver, or disappear completely.  Your mood will falter, or a sense of heaviness will come over you.  Thoughts of worry or guilt may nestle themselves in your stream of consciousness.  Don’t allow these things to take root. Welcome them and receive their wisdom in the early subtle stages, so you can expertly and swiftly make a shift.

3 Energy Mastery Secrets to Raise Your Vibration

The secret to improving any aspect of your life lies in learning how to raise your vibration.

First, here’s a quick refresher on what vibration is, and how it forms the basis of everything you experience and create.

As human beings, we are both energy transmitters and energy receivers.  This means, we’re constantly generating a vibration that is broadcasted to the far corners of the universe.  And what comes back to us in the form of our life experiences always matches the vibe we’re sending out.

The thoughts you think generate a vibration and place you in energetic proximity of other similar-feeling thoughts.  Likewise, the beliefs you hold carry a certain vibration. And these beliefs make you more likely to attract experiences that confirm what you’ve already concluded to be true.  Your chronic moods, emotions and attitudes also become a vibrational habit or set-point that you return to time and time again.

What most people don’t realize is that with a little practice, we can actually offer our vibration on purpose.  Which is to say, we can deliberately raise the frequency of our thoughts, our words and our emotions to a higher level.  And when we do, we change our vibrational point of attraction completely.  This is how we can begin to magnetize from the universe at large more of what we desire.

Here are 3 energy mastery practices that will support you in raising your vibration, and therefore, up-leveling your entire life.

Practice #1 to raise your vibration:  Get your energy moving.

A high vibration is one that’s moving at a faster and less resistant rate of speed.  Low vibrations are those that are stagnant or moving at a resisted and therefore slower rate. One of the best ways to understand vibration is to consider the range of your emotions.

Your emotions run along a spectrum of frequency from high to low.  And like the spectrum of light frequencies in a rainbow, they range from denser, more resistant energies to those that are progressively more subtle and free-flowing.

At the high end of your emotional spectrum are good-feeling emotions like joy, appreciation, empowerment, freedom, and love. And at the opposite end of the continuum, we dip into the range of horrible-feeling emotions:  Shame, despair, grief, depression, and hopelessness. In fact, these vibrations are so slow-moving in terms of their energetic frequency that we actually feel paralyzed when we experience them.

So when you find yourself in a slower-moving, more resistant state of being, the first thing to do is to Get. Your. Energy. Moving.

Put on music that engages or inspires you.  Change the environment you’re in and give your senses new impressions to take in.  Bring your awareness to your breath.  Drink a large glass of water.  Take a shower with hot water then cold.  Clear the clutter from your desk.  Go for a drive.  Spend a few moments outside.  If possible, go for a brisk walk or do a few yoga poses.

Remember that your body and mind are intimately connected in an ongoing feedback loop.  Whatever you do that raises the vibration of one will automatically increase the frequency of the other.  And when your body is energized, your mind and emotions will follow suit.

Practice #2 to raise your vibration:  Watch your words.

The thoughts you think generate a vibration, which is carried along a particular energetic wavelength.   And when you voice your thoughts aloud, the momentum of those thought waves moves faster and faster.  Your words are creative in nature, which is why it’s so important to choose them deliberately and well.

Words like, “He/she will never like me,” “Why is this so hard?” or “I’ll never succeed,” are like affirmations-in-reverse.  Rather than leading us in proximity to the things we want to create, they nurture the very outcomes we’re trying to avoid.   And, most of us have become so accustomed to using our words to miscreate that these conversations actually occur to us as “normal.”

It’s “normal” to use others as a sounding board for our insecurities or self-doubts.  Also “normal” to gossip, complain and point out petty annoyances.  And, It’s “normal” to argue for our limitations to the point that we lose sight of our many blessings and gifts.

Every word we speak generates momentum, and the more words we offer about what isn’t wanted, the more unwanted momentum we create.  Put simply, if we talk about everything that’s terrible, we not only feel terrible, but are more likely to create terrible outcomes.  But thankfully, this also works in reverse.  With a little deliberate attention, we can align our words with the positive outcomes we desire to create.

Practice #3 to raise your vibration:  Cultivate the energy of gratitude.

Your mind is a focusing mechanism, and the direction of your focus has an enormous impact on your personal vibration.  With the power of your focus, you can tune into energies that are enlivening and expansive. And you can also choose to focus on circumstances that are horrible and devastating.  This is the amazing gift of free will.  No one but you has the power to choose the direction of your attention.

If you’re focused on what’s missing, what’s wrong, or what didn’t go well in the past, your vibration will plummet.  And if you look for things to appreciate, it will soar.  And this is where practicing gratitude comes in.

The energy of gratitude is one of the highest vibrations in all the universe.  With the same velocity that negative thinking repels the outcomes we desire, gratitude attracts them to us.   This is because gratitude causes us to focus on the abundance we already have, which expands us and increases our capacity for more.  In a state of gratitude, you become magnetic – not just to other people and opportunities, but to everything you desire.

Use the power of your words to speak often about the things you appreciate, and to acknowledge the blessings that are all around you. In so doing, you raise your vibration to the frequencies where love, success, freedom, prosperity, and joy abound.

Raising your vibration really comes down to becoming more sensitive to the way you feel.  With the words you offer, the things you focus on, and the images you conjure in your mind, pay attention to only one thing:  How does this make me feel?  What raises your mood will naturally raise your vibration.
