How to Break Free of the Vibration of Fear

The vibration of fear is one of the lowest, slowest, and most constricting energies we can experience. In its grip, we feel utterly at the mercy of someone or something outside ourselves, powerless to create our own experience.

 

What’s more, when the vibration of fear is activated within us, we temporarily lose access to our power to create what we desire.  This is because when we’re in fear, we are resisting or blocking the very outcomes we want.  We might believe we’re thinking about the success we’re trying to manifest when in actuality we’re flowing our creative energy toward failure.  

 

This means you’re not actually contemplating the exciting business venture, meeting your soulmate, or manifesting the money to buy your dream house.  When you’re in the vibration of fear, 100% of the time, you’re thinking about the absence of those things.  You’re thinking – and therefore flowing potent creative energy toward – what if I never meet him? What if the business deal falls through, or I don’t have enough money to pay the mortgage?  The vibration of fear sabotages both our happiness and our power to create our desires. And this is why it’s so important to deactivate this vibration whenever you feel it arising within you.  

 

Here are 3 energy mastery principles to help you to do just that: 

 

Step One to Release the Vibration of Fear: Take a time out.

 

It’s impossible to think clearly, or to even conceive of a new possibility when our bodies are flooded with adrenaline.  So, once you’ve concluded that your life is not actually in danger (and it rarely is), the first step is to release the fight-or-flight hormones that are surging through you.

 

Step away from the subject at hand. Go for a brisk walk. Sit in the sun for a few moments. Drink a large glass of water.  Above all, breathe deeply and consciously, and allow your breath to bring you back to the well-being of the present moment.  Once you have released the fight or flight chemicals in your body, you can take the next step in releasing the vibration of fear. 

 

Step Two to Release the Vibration of Fear: Give yourself permission to feel fear as an energy.  

 

Most of us are in the habit of pushing away, minimizing, or completely denying our feelings.  There are dozens of reasons why we do this, from caring about what others think of us to worrying that our emotions will overwhelm us if we grant them the right to exist.

 

But unless and until we allow ourselves to feel the energy of fear, there’s just no way we can effectively lift off of this vibration. Our emotions serve an important purpose of bringing us moment-to-moment wisdom and information. Within the energy of fear there is a kernel of wisdom that can actually help guide you toward the experiences you most desire.  But you have to be willing to open the door in order to receive this message.  

 

So give yourself permission to breathe into the vibration of fear when it arises. Acknowledge that it’s just energy moving through you.  If you allow it to move without resistance, it will rise and fall completely on its own.


Step Three to Release the Vibration of Fear: View fear as a reminder to focus more clearly on what you desire, not on what you don’t want.  

  

Ultimately, the gift of fear is one of self-empowerment.  Because whenever we’re caught in a vibration of fear, one thing is sure:  We’re focusing more on what we don’t want than what we do. 

The next time you’re having a fearful moment, remind yourself that you always have the power to deliberately direct your focus.  You can complain about problems or you can envision their solutions. You can focus on what’s missing from your life, or on the areas where you are incredibly abundant.  

Remember that energy flows in the direction that our attention goes. So decide on the quality of vibration that you would like to bring into your physical and mental body and put your attention there!  All it takes is for you to place 51% of your attention on what you desire for your entire mood and energy to flip.  

You can imagine the energies of joy, expansion, ease, connection, well-being – whatever you are needing in that moment – pouring from your divine source into you. And just feel this frequency soothing and uplifting every dimension of your being.  

Remember that you are the one who sets the energetic tone for your life, and you can choose whatever energy you desire.  Every time the vibration of fear arises within you, just know that it’s pointing you back toward this truth.

Understanding Good Luck, Coincidences & Miracles

Universal law is the hidden mechanism that governs everything in our physical world.  And alignment is the universal principle that explains phenomena like good luck, coincidences, and what we think of as miracles.   In fact, alignment is the secret sauce that underlies virtually every type of success.

Advanced Manifestation Technique: How (and When) to Calibrate Your Focus

 

What we focus on, we nourish with our energy and invite to become more.  Once we understand this foundational principle of manifestation, we are ready for more advanced manifestation techniques.  One such advanced technique is learning to calibrate our focus in specific ways, depending on the situation we find ourselves.    

 

Focusing Specifically vs. Focusing Generally 

 

I’m certain you understand by now that everything in this vibrational universe is made up of energy, and this includes you.  What you consistently focus your energy on, you draw into your life experience – regardless of whether it’s something you want, or not.

There’s a big misconception that to manifest our desires, we need to visualize in very specific terms exactly what we want to create.  This leads us to create vision boards depicting a very specific set of circumstances: The shiny new red Porche, the adoring husband or wife, the lavish vacation… These are all examples of circumstances we conjure when we focus with a lot of specificity on what we desire.   

But here is an advanced manifestation technique that will serve you to commit to memory:  

Specific focus on your desire is only helpful if you feel fantastic while you’re focusing on it.

The moment your specific focus places you in the zone of pipe-dreaming or disbelief, you’re working against the very manifestation you want to create.   In those moments, you’d be better served to pull back from your specific focus and become more general. 

To help you apply this advanced manifestation technique, here a couple of examples of general focus vs. specific focus: 

  • A specific focus regarding money is visualizing your bank account with a $1,000,000 balance.  
  • A general focus regarding money is noticing all the ways you are currently sustained and supported.  You have ready access to an unlimited abundance of fresh air, beauty, and love, for example.    
  • A specific focus regarding health and fitness is conjuring an image of yourself in a bikini or comfortably wearing a smaller size clothing.  
  • A general focus regarding health and fitness is appreciating your body for all of the ways it serves and supports you.

Specific focus summons a faster stream of creative energy, while a general focus slows the movement of this stream way down.  So, whether you choose a specific or general focus all comes down to your capacity to stay in alignment. 

Here are 3 guidelines to help you decide which application of this advanced manifestation technique will hasten the manifestation of your desires: 

Guideline #1: Pay attention to your internal signals of alignment and misalignment.  

 

When applying this advanced meditation technique, your personal capacity to receive and align with the energy of your desire is the most important factor.  When you summon more energy than you are able to receive, you feel overwhelmed, and the results you desire don’t unfold smoothly.   

The rule of thumb is this: if thinking in specific terms thrills you or fills you with hope, then, by all means, keep it up. But the moment you feel yourself tipping into doubt or frustration, pull back your specific focus and become more general.  Back away from the cliff, so to speak, and turn your attention to something unrelated.  

 

Guideline #2:  Respect the moment-by-moment balance between your desire and your belief. 

 

When you have the strong desire but a weak belief, a general focus is your best manifestational ally.  This is because if you continue to focus specifically when your belief is faltering, you will only amplify your disbelief. 

But if on the other hand, you have a strong desire and an equally strong belief, you can afford to focus more specifically.  

You can actually reshape your beliefs by consciously applying this advanced manifestation technique.  As you gift yourself with the feeling of relief that comes with general focus, you become instantly more allowing.  

 

Guideline #3:  When in doubt, turn your focus towards the essence of your desire. 

 

Beneath every specific manifestation that we desire, we are hoping to feel a certain way.  And while it may take some practice to know when to focus generally vs. specifically, it always feels good to focus on the feeling essence of your desire.

Just ask yourself, “How do I believe I will feel once I’ve accomplished ______?”  Then fill yourself up with that feeling, right now.

When our energy is in alignment with our desire, that desire simply must manifest.  It’s just the way the laws of the universe work.  And when our energy is misaligned, that’s when we manifest obstacles, roadblocks, delays…  The wise creator knows this, and releases specific focus when it no longer serves them.

Remember the universe does not respond to the images we hold.  The universe – and all the energy in it – responds to our vibration.  Your feelings hold the key.

Aligning With the Essence of Your Desire

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself WHY you want the things you want?  In other words, what is the bottom-line essence of your desire?  

Why do you want financial abundance, or to be physically fit, or to finally meet your soulmate?

 

Just for a moment, go to the root of each of these desirable circumstances, and ask yourself, Really, why do I want this?

 

What you’ll discover is that behind every, single desire – whether it’s big or small, superficial or deep – is the desire to experience a certain feeling.  

 

At the essence of every desire is a yearning to feel a certain way. 


At the essence of a desire for financial prosperity might be a desire for freedom, security, worthiness, or self-love.  Maybe you believe an abundance of money will leave you feeling proud, seen, important, or loved.   

 

But here’s the thing:  freedom, security, importance, pride, and self-love are NOT tangible things!  We can’t place them in a shopping cart and ask the cashier to ring you up.  These – like all things – are energies that we have the potential to align with.

 

Most of us have been conditioned to believe that lots of money is the ticket to experiencing these intangible feelings. And some of us spend our entire lifetimes chasing whatever it is we believe will yield us that kind of inner fulfillment.  

 

We’re using a formula that goes something like this:   

 

When I achieve X, then I will feel Y.”

 

And of course, each one of us solves for X according to our own value systems. 

 

Some of us believe we’ll be happy when we find the right man, or when we have a child, or when we get that big promotion.  Maybe we think we’ll finally feel lovable or worthy when we reach our ideal body weight or move into the house of our dreams.  

 

But at the essence of every desire is an energy stream, a vibration, a feeling state that we are truly seeking.   Once we understand this, we make a quantum leap in our power to manifest.

 

Learning to connect with and vibrate in energetic resonance with the essence of what you want to manifest, while it exists in its unmanifested form, is the key to attracting it into your life.  

 

Aligning with this essence is like plugging into the universal stream of energy that exists everywhere, all the time, and is accessible to every one of us.

 

Here are 3 energy mastery steps for aligning with the essence of anything you desire:

 

Step #1:  Identify something that you’ve wanted to create for quite some time.  

 

This could be a wish or a dream, like taking an exotic trip.  Maybe it’s an ideal condition, like starting your own business or reaching your optimal weight.  You might have a specific goal in mind, such as writing a book, having a child, or completing a creative project.  Whatever it is, envision clearly and exactly what it is you would like to create or accomplish.  

 

Step #2:  Once you’ve identified what you want, begin to ask yourself, “Why?”  

 

What do you think the fulfillment of this desire will enable you to do?  In what ways do you think it will change the kind of person you consider yourself to be?  Most importantly, how do you believe you will feel having created this for yourself?  Really take some time with this last question.  How would you feel if you had already fulfilled this desire?   

 

Step #3: Imagine this desire as if it were already fulfilled, and connect to the bottom-line feeling or energy.

 

Step into the energy of your desire as if you are putting on the perfectly-fitting clothing of the version of you who has already manifested it.  Feel yourself literally wearing the vibration of joy, abundance, freedom, love, or whatever essential vibration you’re reaching for.  

 

Feel this essence flowing through your emotions. Notice it pulsating in your belly, your power center.  Allow this vibration to rearrange your body, your posture, and your presence.  Imagine it infusing your mindset and your thoughts, effortlessly directing you toward new choices and actions.  Affirm to yourself that since everything is energy and energy is the essence of your desire, you already have – you already are – that which you are seeking.   

 

Choosing to stay in alignment with and in love with the essence of your desire is the secret to so many things in life.  First, it’s the secret to attracting all that you desire.  But it’s also the secret to overcoming any circumstance.  

 

In every moment, we have the profound choice to focus on what has already manifested, or to focus on what is in the process of becoming.  When we align with the essence of anything we desire, we are truly using our power as deliberate creators.  What we give our attention to, we draw to ourselves on the current of our vibration.

How to Release Painful Memories

It’s only logical that painful memories tend to pull us back into the past. After all, intense experiences, both positive and negative, create pathways within our nervous system that make them easy to revisit.  And the more frequently we mentally return to events from the past, the deeper these grooves become.  

 

But each time a painful memory transports us back into the past, our personal vibration is affected.  Think back to the last time you caught yourself rehashing an unpleasant situation or reliving an encounter that hurt, disappointed, or annoyed you.  You’ll soon discover that indulging in painful memories leads you to a downward spiral of cynicism and despair.  

 

So instead of continuing down this well-worn and low-vibrational path, use these 3 energy mastery practices to release the grip of negative memories:

 


Practice #1: Offer yourself some well-deserved compassion.

 

When a painful memory surfaces, causing your personal vibration to temporarily plummet, be nice to yourself.  Don’t compound the situation by judging yourself because you’re not already “over it.”    

 

Do your best to welcome whatever you’re experiencing, and give yourself some time to actually process it.  Our physical bodies must break down the food we eat in order to make use of its nourishment.  And in the same way, our emotional bodies need to metabolize the energy of a painful memory in order to benefit from the wisdom it holds.  

 

Practice #2: Give yourself permission to feel the pain of this experience fully. 

 

Our psyches will keep bringing us back to events that are still unhealed within us.  This keeps painful memories alive in our vibration for much longer than they need to be.  It may seem counterintuitive, but the fastest way to release an unwanted emotion is to give it our full attention. 

 

So, the next time a painful memory surfaces, allow yourself to fully feel what you are experiencing.  Use your breath to assist you.  Breathe into any areas of constriction in your body, and allow your breath to awaken any latent emotions connected to the sensation.  

 

Think of it this way:  Emotions are energy, and energy must be allowed to flow.  If you try to repress or numb a painful memory, its energy doesn’t just go away. Instead, it can manifest as excessive weight, a headache, a skin eruption, anxiety, or chronic low energy.  

It’s much wiser to simply allow your emotions to move through you, in real-time, at the moment they arise.  

Remember that all pain is nothing but a constriction of energy, and the more you allow the energy to flow, the faster you allow it to release.

 

Practice #3:  Celebrate the clarity that was born from each painful experience.

 

Every painful experience brings us invaluable clarity about what really matters to us, and about what we now desire to create.  When you acknowledge your newfound clarity and turn your full attention to it, the painful memory transforms into wisdom.  

To make this shift, you can ask yourself the following questions:

  • How has this experience been a catalyst for my evolution and growth?
  • What wisdom do I now possess as a result of having lived this experience?  
  • From where I now stand, what do I now desire to create?

Once you’ve identified what you desire to create, feel the energy of this new desire pulsating within you.  Acknowledge that the painful experiences you’ve lived have actually been your launching point into this expanded reality. 


Notice that this new reality vibrates at a particular frequency, and allow yourself to be called up to this higher frequency.

What actions would support you in integrating the wisdom you have gained?  

 

If you allowed yourself to release the pain of the past, what would be your new mood or emotional state?  How would this new perspective alter the ways you view the world and the way you feel about yourself?  Allow yourself to bask in the answers to these questions and imagine them fully!  By doing so, you are invoking a pure energy within you that harmonic energies will be drawn to.

 

By fully feeling and processing the pain of a past experience, its wisdom becomes available to you to use as you desire.

The Secret to Finding Love is to Stop Looking for It

The secret to finding love – or anything you desire, for that matter – is to stop looking for it.

 

It sounds counterintuitive, I know.

 

But once you understand that vibration is the hidden force orchestrating every manifestation, this makes perfect sense.

 

By applying these basic Law of Attraction principles, you will naturally become more magnetic to love.

 

Law of Attraction Principle #1: Like vibrations are drawn together.

 

In this energetic universe in which we all live, every possible, conceivable vibration exists.  Think of this range of vibrational frequencies like shades of light in a rainbow.  

 

At the low, dense, and dark end of the spectrum are energies like fear, hatred, desperation, and shame.  

 

And at the high, light end of the vibrational spectrum are the energies of joy, appreciation, fulfillment, and love.  

 

As human beings, we are energy receivers, containers, and transmitters. And this means we have the power to align with any energy along this spectrum.   

 

So what does understanding vibration have to do with finding love? 

 

Well, to attract the vibration of love, your personal energy field must be in resonance with the love you desire. If you’re vibrating in harmony with guilt, fear, or shame, you won’t be able to perceive love, even when it’s all around you. 

 

Vibration is primary. And where we place our focus, we resonate in harmony with.  So, if we’re focused on the absence of something, the vibration of absence becomes our experience.  If we’re focused with appreciation on the presence of something, satisfaction, and appreciation grows in our vibrational field.  

 

And this is why the secret to finding love is to stop looking for it.  

 

Law of Attraction Principle #2: The vibration of ‘looking’ and the vibration of ‘finding’ are diametrically opposed.

 

Think for a moment about the mood or attitude you’re in when you’re actively looking for something you perceive as missing. Almost without exception, it’s accompanied by a feeling of angst or impatience – even worry or despair that you may never find it. 

 

Now, shake that off and in its place, remember what it feels like to have found or created something pleasing to you.  This is actually very easy to do!  

 

Simply look around your life and take note of all the wonderful people, objects, situations, and conditions that surround you.  And then, beyond simply noticing all your blessings, allow yourself to really drink them in and feel their impact on you.  

 

The fact that you have a roof over your head, items of beauty in your environment, and access to fresh air and sunlight is itself a cause for celebration.  That you have money in your pocket, food in your refrigerator, and loving people in your life are blessings not to be overlooked!

 

Just by taking a few minutes to acknowledge the many blessings in your life, you shift your vibration from looking to finding.  You stop looking for love and begin being love. And once you make this shift, you become a magnet for all things you desire.

 

Law of Attraction Principle #3: The secret to finding love is to acknowledge that ‘wanting’ and ‘having’ are two sides of the same vibrational coin. 

 

The fact is, if it were not for the absence of something, you would never desire it in the first place!  Wanting and having are two sides of the same coin.  And the same is true with looking and finding.  

 

So the next time you find yourself dwelling in the absence of something, remind yourself of this:  the very fact that you desire it is evidence that it exists!  By nurturing your desire and believing in it, you feed your creation with life-giving creative energy.  

 

Whenever you catch yourself focused on the lack of something you desire, you can immediately pivot to its presence.  You do this by deliberately looking for things that feel good when you see them. 

 

What you’ll begin to notice is that love is absolutely everywhere!  It’s in the person who lets you into traffic.  It’s in the kind of interaction between you and your child.   The secret to finding love is acknowledging that love is who you are, at your very essence.  

 

And in every moment, you have the ability to find something to be in love with, and to make that your point of focus.  

 

Ultimately, the secret to finding love is feeling good about who you are and where you are right now.  When this is your inner set point, everything in your external environment will meet you there.
