How To Create Your Own Economy

How To Create Your Own Economy

People often think about the economy like they do about the weather.  The presumption is that, in the same way, a rising tide lifts all boats, fluctuations in the economy affect all of us equally.  But from an energetic perspective, this notion couldn’t be further from the truth.  Because, by virtue of our thoughts, beliefs, interpretations, expectations, and chronic perspectives, we all create our own economy.

The following 3 principles will support you in creating your own economy – one that is governed by sufficiency and abundance.

Principle #1: Be mindful of where you place your attention.

So many of us are completely unintentional when it comes to directing our own attention.  A news announcement comes over the airwaves, and we automatically allow it to derail our attention – and our mood.  But where and how we direct our attention is incredibly important.  In fact, it’s what summons and breathes life into everything we create in our lives.

Learning to mindfully and intentionally direct your attention is the first step to creating your own economy.  It leads to increased self-awareness and self-control, enhanced focus, and a reduced reactivity to our bodies’ fight, fight or freeze response.  And this means you can enhance your experience of being centered, relaxed and resourceful – no matter what circumstance you find yourself in.

Remember, there are no neutral thoughts. Because thinking is the mechanism that focuses our attention and therefore propels our creative energy into motion.  We’re either directing our attention toward the realities we want to come into realization, or toward those that we don’t.  We simply can’t give our attention to scarcity and attract abundance.  It defies universal law.

Principle #2:  Prepare yourself in advance, on an energetic level, to create an economy of abundance.

Your own personal economy need not be tied to what’s going on with the stock market.  It’s far more empowering to think of it as a climate of positivity and success you carry with you everywhere you go.

You’ve probably known people who carry themselves with an air of confidence or certainty.  These folks know they’re worthy, they know their value, and consequently, they expect things to work out well for them.

When we learn to take responsibility for our own energy field, we can intentionally light up a room when we walk in.  We’re able to communicate in such a way that others want to connect and cooperate with us.  At the heart of our ability to “shine in a crisis” is being in charge of our own reactions and moods.  No matter what’s going on around us, we meet it with a sense of clarity and positive expectation.  And as we do, we pull everyone else up to our level.

Creating your own economy of abundance is simply about making the choice to vibrate in resonance with prosperity. It’s choosing to look for evidence of success, regardless of the choices others around you are making for themselves.

To make this actionable, take a pause before each important encounter to consider the outcome you want to create.  Carve time out in each day to tend to your inner world.  Engage in practices that get your energy moving and uplift your mood.  And routinely quiet your mind chatter in order to connect with the highest possibility you can conceive of.

From this stable foundation of inner alignment, you can then intentionally bring forward the energy, attitudes and expectations that will naturally lead to your desired results.

And this brings us to the final principle to understand in order to deliberately create your own economy.

Principle #3:  You have the capacity to calibrate your frequency to any outcome you desire to create.

In this vibrational universe, energy always precedes manifestation.  Once you understand this, you can adjust your energy intentionally in order to create the best possible results.

Here is a simple formula for calibrating your energy on purpose:  First, identify the outcome you’re hoping to achieve.  Then, ask yourself, “What kind of person could easily manifest this?”

What inner qualities would support you in creating a personal economy of abundance and high achievement?  What inner resources would you need to activate within you?  And how would you need to organize your day to ensure you have ready access to those resources?

Creating an internal economy of success is only a matter of bringing forth your highest, most abundant self.  It’s making a commitment to nourish that version of you through consciously up-leveling the caliber of your thoughts.  And lastly, it’s watching with joyful anticipation as the universe cooperates with the energetic tone you have set.

  • Be mindful of where your attention is
  • Recognizing our thoughts’ influence on our world
  • Calibrating your energy frequency deliberately

Key Takeaways:

  • You have to be mindful of where you place your attention. It is easy to be lazy about where we allow our attention to go.
  • By virtue of our thoughts, beliefs, expectations, and perspectives, every single one of us magnetizes the vibrations which will eventually congeal into the experiences that surround us.
  • Deliberately calibrate your energy frequency to harmonize with whatever outcome you desire to create.

The 8 Hidden Blocks To Receiving Money With Mary Morrissey

In this episode Christy and Mary discuss:

  • Reprogramming our beliefs about money
  • Eight blocks that hinder your success
  • Dissolving the darkness through light

Key Takeaways:

  • We are programmed to believe that it is not good to love money. Money is just a measurement of your freedom to be creative and generous. Why would money want to go to a place where it is not loved?
  • There are eight blocks that could be the reason why even when somebody is working so hard in setting their minds towards abundance they are still not able to receive wealth.
  • The way to really get the darkness to go away is to turn on the light and it dissolves. In the same way with these abundance blocks, you don’t wanna fight with them, you turn on the light of awareness and they dissolve.

“The thing about hidden blocks, they’re hidden. You don’t recognize when they’re operating and how they’re actually creating a pushaway. In the absence of even knowing what they are, it just creates more of the same.” – Mary Morrissey

How to Succeed in Having Uncomfortable Conversations About Money

Like politics and religion, money ranks near the top of the list in terms of uncomfortable conversations. And yet, it’s important – both for the health of your relationships and your own abundance – to get over this stigma.

Here are some common scenarios that call for a candid talk about finances, and some tips for navigating these conversations:

  • A family member asks you for a loan, without acknowledging the previous times they’ve borrowed money without paying it back.
  • You and your spouse are on two different pages when it comes to spending and saving. And you usually don’t discover the disparity until after the credit card statement comes in.
  • Your parents are reaching retirement age, and you have no clue about their monthly income and expenses. What preparation have they made for long term care? Are they expecting, or will they eventually need, any financial support from you?

Conversations involving money can be extremely uncomfortable because the choices we make with finances impact many aspects of our lives.  Conflicting values, differing perspectives on personal boundaries, and issues around freedom and control can easily become triggered when discussing finances.

The following 5 tips will help to make these conversations easier, less emotionally volatile, and therefore more effective:

Tip #1:  Choose your time (and place) wisely.

Money conversations will feel far less confrontational if you schedule them ahead of time.  This is not a conversation you should spring on someone who isn’t expecting it.

Unwelcome surprises can evoke defensiveness or overwhelm, particularly if the other person has other pressing matters on their mind.

When talking about money, it’s best to arrange a meeting time that’s dedicated to speaking only about that subject.  If you feel the conversation could get heated, meet someplace tranquil and neural, rather than at home.

Tip #2:  Discuss financial decisions ahead of time; not after the fact.

Whether it’s a conversation with aging parents or with your spouse about savings, lead time always works to your advantage.

The closer you are to a situation – such as nearing retirement or deciding how to pay for an upcoming family vacation, the harder it will be to discuss the situation logically.  Discussing upcoming expenses in advance gives you more freedom of choice, which naturally diffuses some of the emotion around them.

As the old saying goes, we can choose between the pain or discipline or the pain of regret.  A conversation ahead of time is far more comfortable than discovering later that it’s too late to make another choice.

Tip #3:  If and when differences arise, take the time to understand the other person’s point of view.

You may run across differences about how to handle upcoming financial decisions – retirement goals, vacation plans, or spending habits.  If this occurs, before reacting, stop and ask, “Why?”

For example, “Why do you think saving X dollars a month is unrealistic?”  “Why do you feel it’s important to finance that purchase?” Asking why allows you to discover the underlying value the other person is trying to uphold.  Or the underlying fear they are trying to ease. When you converse at the level of core values, rather than specifics, it’s much easier to find areas of mutual harmony.  Remember that your goal is to strengthen your partnership or friendship, not to become adversarial.

Tip #4:  Begin the conversation with a statement of intent.

Begin the conversation by stating your overall intention for him and for your relationship.  For example, if your brother is asking you for another loan, you could say something to this effect:  “I want you to know that I love and care about you, and I also want to have a clear and loving relationship with you.  It doesn’t feel good to me to loan you more money until you’ve paid off what you’ve already borrowed.”

By prefacing your decision with your overarching intention for the relationship, the conversation is much easier to hear.

Tip #5:  Remember that you’re only in control of your reaction, not the reactions of others.

When having a difficult money conversation, make sure you’re neutral and resolved with your decision within yourself.  Give yourself permission to have your perspective and to do what you ultimately feel is best for you. And give the other person permission to react, knowing that it probably has far more to do with them than it does with you.

Money Affirmations to Attract Greater Financial Freedom to Your Life

You may not realize it, but you’re already utilizing the power of affirmations!  And, the affirmations you repeat about money can bring you outrageous financial prosperity, or they can keep you in hardship.

Thoughts Turn to Things

Whether you’re aware of it or not, you’re using affirmations every day, in relation to every subject in your life.  In fact, every thought you formulate in your mind – whether you ever speak it out loud – is an affirmation.

By virtue of what we affirm through our thoughts and beliefs, we are creating our current reality.   Our outer world conforms to the internal expectations we hold. How can this information benefit you?  Simple. If you don’t like the outcomes you’re creating, you can change it by shifting your dominant affirmations.

The Power of Affirmation

Louise Hay, beloved author and spiritual luminary, had this to say about the power of affirmations:

“An affirmation is anything you say or think. A lot of what we normally say and think is quite negative and doesn’t create good experiences for us. We have to retrain our thinking and speaking into positive patterns if we want to change our lives.”

Affirmation is a powerful manifestation tool, and there are specific affirmations you can use to attract abundant financial freedom.  But to use this tool to your benefit, not your detriment, you first have to uncover what you’re currently affirming.

“Money doesn’t grow on trees.” “Money is the root of all evil.”   “Wealth only comes to those who are beautiful, talented, or well-educated.”   These are all very powerful affirmations that contradict the financial freedom we desire.  In fact, they keep us stuck in a state of struggle and insufficiency.

Watching Your Words

There is great power in the words we offer.  This applies equally to the words we speak out loud as well as those we think silently to ourselves.  When the energy of our thoughts and words opposes the energy of our desire, this opposition dilutes our creative power.  But when we’re in alignment with the prosperity we seek, prosperity comes to us in an infinite number of ways.

Here are five money affirmations you can begin using today to attract greater financial freedom into your life:

Money Affirmation #1:  “Today, I choose to look for evidence of abundance – not insufficiency.”

Look anywhere in the natural world, and you will see ample evidence of abundance.  There are an infinite number of stars within just our Milky Way galaxy alone. The beaches of the world are awash with sea life, and populated with literally countless grains of sand.  There is no limit to the power of the wind, rain and sunshine that sustains us. And the seeds that propagate into the fruit and vegetables continue to grow and produce.

Basically, the world is abundant with everything we can possibly imagine or desire.  If we are experiencing lack, this is only a result of how we are using our power of focus.  Each of us is born with the incredible gift of free will. Which means, we have the power to focus on insufficiency, or to focus on all the abundance that surrounds us.  And what you focus on will become your reality.

Money Affirmation #2:  “I am a beloved child of this abundant universe who is always being provided for.”

The same energy that creates worlds created you, and is in every moment flowing to you, through you, and from you.  Well-being and prosperity in all forms are your birthright and divine legacy.

Money Affirmation #3:  “I allow financial prosperity to come to me in infinite – and even miraculous – ways.”

As a beloved child of the universe, you are always being guided toward the fulfillment of all of your desires.  There is an infinite number of paths to the financial freedom you seek – not just those you can already see.

The universe holds a much bigger picture of your life than you can perceive in this moment.  Open yourself to prosperity in all its forms, and be willing for life to surprise and delight you!

Money Affirmation #4:  Money is energy… and energy is everywhere!”

Everything that you are – your body, your breath… your thoughts, your feelings, your ideas, beliefs, and desires… the basis of all of it is energy.   And money is nothing but energy.

The energy of money flows through the path of least resistance to those people who are most resonant with it. Wherever there is like vibration, that is where the green energy of money will be attracted.

If you hate money or feel jealous of other people’s prosperity, you block it from becoming part of your experience.  By becoming resonant to the green, flourishing energy of financial freedom, you draw it into your life.

Money Affirmation #5:  “I love and appreciate my positive, happy, abundant life!”

The more you love and appreciate yourself exactly as you are, the more financial freedom will be magnetized to you.  And right now, you have so very much to appreciate!

Don’t slip into the “normal” mindset of taking your blessings for granted.  Instead, notice them, relish them, and count your blessings, so to speak. Breathe in all your blessings and all the expressions of financial freedom that have already manifested in your life.  As you allow yourself to genuinely appreciate the life you are now living, the universe brings you more to appreciate.

Remember, happiness is the essence of why you want financial freedom in the first place!  And you have the power to choose to be happy now.
